Spring is almost here, and I am anxious for the return of the birds that flew south for the winter. Being a creature of habit, once again awakening to the chorus of
my favorite songbirds will give me a sense of renewal—a new season and a
new beginning!

We at PaintWorks have experienced some new beginnings too.

This past fall my family welcomed a new member into the fold. My daughter, Liana, married Dan Hennings in October (three days before the arrival of Hurricane Sandy). It was a beautiful wedding, and we are VERY happy for them.

Speaking of Hurricane Sandy, the office at All American Crafts was closed for several weeks after the hurricane hit because of numerous power and water outages in our area. All of us experienced the same outages at home too, but we made it through and are anxiously waiting for better weather.

Last year, our managing graphic designer, Kelly Beach, her husband (Dave), and their daughter (Caitlin) welcomed daughter/sister, Emily. It has been an exciting time for them and we are eagerly waiting to hear about Emily’s first steps.

Right now, it is snowing lightly here…and we keep saying that spring is right around the corner. I just wish it would arrive.
